I love that The Capital Grill gives their employees business cards. The food was all delicious and as mentioned, Cynthia could not have been more attentive and professional. I would request that area again when I come back. We were not quite comfortable with that concept so were very happy to be seated in the Wine Room. It was also the first week that Florida restaurants could open and full capacity. We were at the restaurant on a Wednesday evening and surprisingly for the middle of the week, it was quite crowded. The espresso cake was extremely chocolately and could have used a bit more whipped cream to cut it, but the cheese cake was phenomenal. We had a choice of flourless espresso cake or cheesecake. The dessert portions were perfectly sized after a big meal. The bacon on this salad was amazing-thick and flavorful, although I found the dressing a bit to much. All of the bread options in the basket set on the table were warm and delicious. Although there were chicken and fish options available, we all chose steak-filet mignon and NY strip. ![]() My husband, son and I all chose the Magical Dining menu, which was a great bargain for a good cause. That was a very thoughtful and appreciated gesture. When my steak arrived (this time perfectly cooked) Cynthia provided fresh, hot sides of mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. During this time when my family had their meals and wanted to eat them, Cynthia brought a small plate for me so I could eat the delicious sides that accompanied the meal. tables and diners b) the noise level was greatly reduced and c) Cynthia Van Donselaar was our server!Ĭynthia provided excellent service particularly when my steak had to be sent back because it wasn't cooked quite enough. This was a perfect choice because a) it was more secluded with fewer. Fortunately, when we arrived the booth wasn't quite ready and we were given the option of a corner table in the Wine Room. When I booked this, I had requested a booth. I have also recommended it to other business friends and never had a hiccup. I will automatically recommend Capital Grills in general and this location in particular and can say that I've dined with them from coast to coast. Sometimes people expect too much or have a mental image that doesn't match the reality. This is not a cheapo tourist trap as many in the Orlando are, but you get what you pay for. The server was well informed and anticipated and met our requests and needs. Our two guests had never been to Capital Grills and were impressed as well. The total tab was $450, about $100 per person plus tax. with distress several negative reviews and both my partner and I wonder if these are even real! We had four excellent meals, steaks, seafood, one side, two desserts and a bottle of excellent sparkling California wine. We went early, on a busy night, for a birthday celebration and it was perfect, from appetizers to class of service and attention to details. This has always been my favorite lunch/dinner place over the last ten years or more.
